End Date: No later than July 26, 2024 Overall Responsibilities : Responsible to act professionally and to support the schools safe, inclusive and accepting learning environment by being a positive role model at all times
Assisting in maintaining the integrity of all building systems
Repair, replace or maintain as necessary equipment and materials which fall under the building systems headlines; exterior building envelope, interior finishes, building hardware, electrical equipment, mechanical/plumbing
Purchase parts, materials or equipment as necessary to complete maintenance or repairs as approved by the Operations Supervisor- Maintenance and/or Superintendent of Business Services
Maintain records related to repair and maintenance of all building systems as set out in internal procedures and legislative requirements
Assist in cost analysis for projects as required
Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of system wide Preventative Management Programs
Participate in Health & Safety training Qualifications: Possess a current Ontario and/or Inter-Provincial Trade Certificate in their respective trade or a minimum or 5 years building & maintenance experience
Possess a valid G class drivers license and provide evidence of a clean drivers abstract
Computer literacy would be an asset
Ability to work under conditions that require working in inclement weather
Good physical condition in required for occasionally heavy lifting
Must be flexible and is sometimes required to work under tight time constraints
Some overtime work may be required
