Job Summary

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Literacy Specialist at Inspired2Read. The Literacy Specialist will be responsible for delivering structured literacy intervention to children with dyslexia and struggling readers. You will be able to work in a warm and supportive environment in which you will be provided with training, endless, high-quality materials, mentorship, and support.

Duties

- Create individualized lesson plans for each child

- Develop materials for lessons

- Communicate effectively with learners to ensure understanding and engagement

- Keep track of the learning outcomes for each student

- Participate in monthly training

- Teach students with learning disabilities using the Orton Gillingham approach

- Collaborate with project management teams to meet course objectives

Qualifications

-Orton-Gillingham training or experience using teaching methods supported by the Science of Reading

- Experience working with children with dyslexia/dysgraphia and ADHD/autism

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively with children with diverse learning needs

- Patient and focused on building positive relationships with students and their families

- Knowledge of dyslexia and learning disabilities

- Someone who genuinely loves working with kids!Job Type : Part-time; minimum 8h/week

Pay : $40.00 per hour
