Crescent Heights High School (CHHS) is seeking a full-time Specialized Teacher for Grades 7-12 to join the Supported Learning Department. CHHS seeks a dedicated educator who thrives on the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs and who sees challenges as opportunities for growth. The life skills curriculum aims to empower students by equipping them with the skills necessary to continually develop their independence and confidently engage with their community.
This curriculum builds on each student's current strengths while preparing them for their future, especially as they transition into adulthood. CHHS is looking for an adaptable educator who can cultivate a dynamic, creative, and inclusive classroom that encourages student progress in all areas of the Optimal Learning Environment. The ideal candidate will foster a growth mindset in both themselves and their students, believing in the potential of every learner to achieve and grow. They should be aligned with the school and district's mission, vision, values, and goals, and be committed to continuously evolving their practices to maximize student success.
Crescent Heights High School has a student population of approximately 1300 students in Grades 7-12 and is located in the North Central area of the city. The CHHS learning community benefits from offering French Immersion and Middle School programming among many other student opportunities.
