6 Hours per day We are currently recruiting for Supply Educational Assistants that will work in our Family of Schools. You will be hired for a specific region and will work among school locations that are within close distance of each other. You will be available for six hours per day, Monday to Friday and will be assigned to a home school. On a day-to-day basis, you may be dispatched to a school location needing support within your Family of Schools region.
This term position is 6 hours per day working Monday to Friday until June 27, 2025.

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the educational assistant is responsible for providing instructional assistance to students with learning and/or behavioural difficulties in a group and individual settings, providing assistance to teachers in delivery of programs for individual student, providing assistance with field trips and other special events, as well as administering first aid when needed. The successful incumbent requires the ability to work as a team member with good interpersonal and communication skills.Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: assists with the review and reinforcement of skills taught
provides special needs instruction in any of several areas which may include math, language arts, social studies, science, etc.
assists students in completing assignments and developing study habits and skills
assists with preparation of classroom and educational materials
monitors student behaviour, work progress, and attendance
keeps detailed records
assists students in remaining focused on task
follows-up on class assignments
supervises students as required
other duties as required
Qualifications:
Complete secondary education or equivalent related work experience
Minimum of 1 year experience working with students with social, academic, and/or behavioural difficulties
Valid First Aid and CPR certificates
Educational Assistant Diploma or Certificate an asset
Valid Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certificate is an asset (will provide training and/or re-certification)How to apply:
