TABER CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Regular Assistant approx. 28 hours/week

Hours of work include Monday Thursday 8:30 a.m. 3:25 p.m. and Friday 8:20 a.m. 12:15 p.m.

Taber Central School is seeking an Educational Assistant. This school supports a diverse community of learners in the heart of Taber with a student population of about 225 students. The range of students is from Early Learning programming through to grade 5. Experience working with students of various ages and needs is pertinent. Training with communication, English as additional language and supporting students with complex needs would be considered an asset. An understanding of inclusion and supports for diverse learners would be seen as a strength. This position will require the candidate to work closely with students who have complex needs such as autism, physical adaptations and speech and/or language delays. The schedule will include full mornings in the Early Learning Program and then supporting students with complex needs in the afternoons, as well as Friday mornings.
