EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY District Food Program Coordinator

Nisga'a School District No. 92

Nisga'a School District No. 92 invites applications for a full-time District Food Program Coordinator at Nisga'a School District No. 92. Reporting directly to the Secretary-Treasurer, the District Food Program Coordinator oversees the logistics of food deliveries to schools, ensures a coordinated approach to improving food services and obtains information on schools' food programs and their effectiveness. This position will provide a single point of contact for food service staff, administrators and partners through which to coordinate any food related initiatives. This is a full-time position starting January 6, 2025.

Nisga'a School District is located in the majestic and breathtakingly beautiful Nass Valley in northwestern British Columbia. The district encompasses the traditional treaty territory of the Nisga'a Nation along the Nass River. TYPICAL DUTIES Work with provincial and regional partners on improving the use and access of Federal and Provincial nutrition and food programs

Work with school administration on school food policies

Oversees and develops the day-to-day operations of the District Food Program

Manages several budgets within the program

Look for funding opportunities for the District/School Food programs

Investigate and review the current operations of each School Food Programs

Report back to the School District and Funding Organization both quantitative and qualitative information

Manage the logistics of food deliveries to schools, within the district

Works cooperatively and collaboratively to create teamwork opportunities

Build relationships and partnerships with a variety of internal and external partners.

Amends program goals and objectives to meet the changing needs of program.

Aids in growth and program development.

Develops presentations, summaries, and materials to ensure better communication and District understanding of the program.ACADEMIC/WORKEXPERIENCEQUALIFICATIONS Grade 12

Food Safe

Requires good planning, organizational and time management skills

Self-starter, who can take charge of an issue and carry it to its completion

Strong written and communication skills

Travel will be required, therefore need to possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and have vehicle
