Edmonton Catholic Schools offers French Immersion programming at twelve (12) sites, serving over 3000 students. We are now accepting applications for our French Immersion program for the 2024/2025 school year. Applications are accepted and interviews are conducted for teaching positions throughout the calendar year. The successful candidate will demonstrate fluency in French based on the four language domains (listening, reading, speaking, and writing). All successful candidates will be hired to the 2024/2025 Teacher Replacement Roster. Once hired, successful candidates will have the opportunity to apply for internal contact opportunities or be placed directly into a contract position that is aligned with their credentials, based on the division's needs.

Edmonton Catholic Schools requires all teachers (substitutes and contract teachers) to be Catholic unless specialized in the following areas: Career and Technology Studies (CTS) and Career and Technology Foundations (CTF)

Lived Indigenous Experiences

Languages (Cree, French, Spanish, and Ukrainian)

Music (Elementary and Secondary)

Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (Major and/or minor)

Interested candidates who have a Bachelor of Education Degree, a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate, and are bilingual in English and French are encouraged to apply.
