Description:
As a HWCDSB ICT Co-op Student, you will play a crucial role in our Windows 11 deployment project. This hands-on position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in ICT support and systems administration. You will work closely with our ICT team to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to Windows 11 for all users.
Duties: Prepare and configure hardware and software for deployment in educational and administrative settings.
Perform system imaging and software installations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the deployment.
Provide user support and training on Windows 11 features and functionalities.
Accurately update Helpdesk tickets and resolutions, including asset information, in the Helpdesk ticketing System.
Use the Helpdesk ticketing system to manage daily work assignments and priority tickets, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Provide training on HWCDSB endpoint devices and software to staff, both individually and in groups.
Recognize and escalate complex issues as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Support Audio-Visual equipment across school board networks, including interactive projectors and sound systems in classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditoriums.
Duties as assigned.Projects: Windows 11 Hardware Refresh Rollout.
iPad and Computer System configurations and deploys.Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related post-secondary program.
Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Maturity in handling confidential information.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to various sites within the HWCDSB geographic area.
Ability to lift and move objects up to 10Kg (e.g., computers, monitors, UPS units).

Salary: Minimum Wage plus 4% Vacation Pay
