TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST: LEVEL I

Join our dynamic team as a Technical Support Specialist and make a meaningful impact by providing essential guidance and technical support to various education facilities. Under the direction of the IT Operations Supervisor, this role encompasses the following:
Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the IT Shared Services Manager, this employee is responsible to provide day-to-day technical support as a member of a 6 person Client Account Administrative Team. Duties include cross-district support for Active Directory management, the Teacher Notebook application, School Messenger and Safe Arrival applications, Help Desk application, support for Microsoft 365 (M365) users accounts and applications, and ITSS-SNB Security Review and Mitigation, and other duties to support schools, ED Centers, and district offices.
Support areas (Tasks)
Active Directory Follow existing processes to manage all aspects of NBED Active Directory, Exchange mailboxes, and security groups.
Troubleshoot problems with student and staff accounts, submit Remedy tickets for SNB assistance when applicable. Microsoft 365 Support staff and students with technical issues relating to M365 user accounts and applications.
Provide support to district and school staff in the effective and secure management of Teams and SharePoint.
Provide support for Microsoft 365 groups, shared mailboxes, and resources for school and district staff.
Provide security review and mitigation services for SNB-SOC reported security incidents using ITSS process. Application Support Assist with management of the Teacher Notebook application by completing timely updates.
Support school and district staff with all School Messenger and Safe Arrival application issues and concerns.
Provide Part 2 support for ERP (Fusion) access related issues.
Create, manage, and track long-term wireless (BYOD) access for outside staff groups and individuals.
Other applications as required. Qualifications: Successful completion of a recognized Computer Technology program or equivalent work experience. Industry recognized certifications would be an asset.
Previous experience in hardware and software troubleshooting is an advantage.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness and ability to travel to multiple school locations as required. Must have a valid driver's license and transportation. Necessary Special Requirements: Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as being able to work independently with a diverse client base;
Must have strong time management and organizational skill.
Must be a team player, and able to work well in a fast-paced, challenging, and ever-changing work environment. Salary: This is a unionized PSAC position and falls under School Business Official 3 pay band ($53,196 to $73,398 annual).
