Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counselling to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Assist students in developing effective learning strategies, time management skills, and goal setting.

Support students in resolving personal, social, or behavioral issues affecting their educational experience.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create and implement intervention plans for students in need.

Develop and deliver programs focused on social-emotional learning, mental health awareness, and academic success.

Maintain confidential records and documentation of counselling sessions.

Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Certified to practice as a School Counsellor in British Columbia.

Experience in academic guidance and social-emotional counselling at the school level is preferred.

Strong understanding of counselling theories, practices, and ethics.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
