Part-time Caretaker I - Heloise Lorimer School Company Overview

The Opportunity

RVS is currently seeking applications for a continuing, part-time (22.5 hrs/week) Caretaker I position to provide routine cleaning duties at Heloise Lorimer School starting immediately. Monday to Friday after school hours with the exception of 1-2 day shifts per month (as per School Year Calendar) . Under the supervision of the Head Building Operator and Building Operator, the Caretaker I provides caretaking services at their assigned Rocky View Schools (RVS) facilities. The Caretaker I is responsible for the housekeeping of school buildings, maintaining contents and furnishings in good appearance and in clean, tidy, sanitary condition, as assigned by their supervisor. Heloise Lorimer School is located in the City of Airdrie, and is home to students from grades K-5. Responsibilities Include Attention to detail related to varied and complex cleaning tasks Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environment

Demonstrated pride in workmanship

Performs building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator

Experience working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS and other relevant legislation

Education/Experience Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset

Certifications from cleaning organization is considered an asset

Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset

An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered Knowledge/Skills Basic knowledge of proper cleaning procedures

Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal

supervision
