Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) serves approximately 15,400 students each day at 39 in-person schools (32 elementary, two K-12; four 7-12, one secondary). RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor such as minor preventive maintenance, attending the needs of permits, and assisting the Lead Hand and co- workers to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation and safety. Heavy physical exertion required when shovelling snow, unloading trucks, and moving floor
machines. Exposure to chemicals, cleaning up after students who have been ill and other undesirable working conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant must possess a secondary school diploma or a level of knowledge and understanding equivalent; over three months related experience and the capability to perform the above responsibilities. Must possess a valid driving license and have access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various sites within in the Board's jurisdiction.
