Reporting

to the Regional Operations Supervisor for an assigned area, the Custodian

Project team will be responsible for identifying and sharing best practices on

a team and / or day shift cleaning, train other custodians on equipment

maintenance, new cleaning procedures and smart cleaning practices, and

complete additional project tasks as assigned by the Regional Operations

Supervisor. Individuals will be expected to work shifts and travel between

1.

Possess two (2) or more years experience as a

custodian with the SCDSB.

2.

Demonstrate excellent communication,

leadership, and organizational skills.

3.

Demonstrated

knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.

4. Ability

and skills to perform heavy

physical tasks. Tasks may include: burnishing, scrubbing and refinishing

floors, window cleaning, and wall washing.

5.

Ability to perform scaffolding work, such as

erecting / dismantling scaffolding, high dusting and/ or light cleaning.

6.

Training in the use of scaffolding, power

lifts, and fall protection equipment.

7.

Ability

to operate building and custodial equipment.

8.

A

valid Ontario Drivers Licence is a requirement and proof thereof will be

requested on hiring.

9.

Testing may be required during the selection

process.

10.

Other duties as assigned. ** All fees for the
