Summer School Cooperative Education Teacher

The Summer School Focus on Youth Cooperative Education Teacher will be responsible for overseeing the Focus on Youth Summer Coop Program. The Focus on Youth program provides students with learning and employment opportunities for youth in select low-income neighbourhoods who face personal challenges and barriers to employment due to circumstances directly linked to systemic inequality, racism and discrimination, and their lived experiences of socio-economic disadvantage. The Focus on Youth Summer Coop teacher will organize an initial week of job readiness where students will focus on employability training, goal setting, first aid and CPR. For the additional 4 weeks, the FOY Summer Coop Teacher will work with students to support them in their place of employment and simultaneously, support students with their coop credit.

Qualification(s):

In order to be considered, you must hold the qualifications at the time of application.

Basic: Intermediate/Senior Divisions

Additional: Co-operative Education, Part 1

Experience: Five (5) years successful teaching experience or equivalent
