Summer School Technological Education Teacher

The teacher will deliver the Technological Education Hairstyling and Aesthetics TXJ10 or Construction Technology TCJ10, to students at either Assumption College or St. John's College. The teacher will teach three 75-minute periods and have one 75-minute preparation period. The classes will contain students from Grades 7-8 to support BHNCDSB Reach Ahead Program. All learning will be in person.

Program Dates: July 2, 2024 to July 26, 2024

Qualification(s):Basic* : Technological Education Hairstyling and Aesthetics or Construction

Experience : Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience

Other : Demonstrated ability to implement individualized programming both in terms of content and instructional strategies based on the diagnosed needs of the individual student;

Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;

Strong understanding of Differentiated Instruction, curriculum development and assessment/evaluation practices;

Demonstrated understanding of effective assessment practices (e.g. Growing Success);

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
