ARCHIVES AND RECORDS PROGRAM ASSISTANT - SUMMER POSITION

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board invites applications for the "Summer Experience 2024" with funds provided by the Ontario Public Service for this program.

This position will work 30 hours per week for a period of up to 12 weeks, working Monday to Thursdays, 7 and a half hours per day. This position will work at a Board office location in Simcoe, Ontario.

Candidates must possess: Between the ages of 18 and 24 (up to 29, if disabled);

Customer service, organization, and communication experience;

A high degree of independence and accountability with proven ability to work alone;

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Ontario Privacy legislation and best practices;

Ability to navigate a records retention system;

Expert-level use of Microsoft Office Suite

Expert-level use of office scanners/copiers;

Experience in an educational setting; and

Reliable transportation and ability to work at multiple locations. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Assist in the organizing and maintenance of a new Records Centre;

Organizing/maintaining records following Provincial Privacy Legislation, Privacy & Information Management (PIM) Guidelines, and the Board's record retention system;

Sorting and scanning documents;

Heavy lifting required;

Some research and website content preparation;
