Creating Futures, Leading and Learning for All We are currently accepting applications for TR Leger Instructor. Under the supervision of the Regional, Manager of Literacy and Language Services, the Instructor provides instruction to small groups of adult learners with a specific program focus (i.e. ESL, LBS, LINC, FSL) in accordance with respective and established assessment standards. The instructor consults with the Manager or Team Leader to deliver program assignments and works collaboratively within a team environment to ensure that appropriate programming is delivered accordingly to applicable and designated Ministry and Board requirements.

This position is covered under the UCDSB/CUPE collective agreement. Qualifications and Experience:

Possess a three year university degree or three year college diploma with a concentration in education, social work, sociology, psychology, linguistics or applied languages or in a related field. Familiarity with community support agencies pertaining to adult, family or employment-related issues is preferred.

FSL Instructor

A minimum of 2 years FSL instruction of adults is required. Related employment or volunteer experience in teaching, social work, health services or immigration services is an asset. Oral and written fluency in French or teaching qualifications in FSL is required. ESL Instructor

A minimum of 2 years ESL instruction of adults is required. Related employment or volunteer experience in teaching, social work, health services or immigration services is an asset. TESL qualifications or teaching qualifications in ESL is required. LINC Instructor

A minimum of 2 years ESL instruction of adults is required. Related employment or volunteer experience in teaching, social work or immigration services is an asset. TESL qualifications or teaching qualifications in ESL is required. LBS Instructor A minimum of 2 years experience in adult literacy delivery is required. Familiarity with community support agencies pertaining to adult, family or employment is preferred. Related employment or volunteer experience with adults in teaching, social work or health services is an asset. Adult Education or Literacy Practitioner certification is an asset.
