The Burnaby School District is looking to hire a full-time Electrician to work

throughout the district starting

as soon as possible. This position

installs, maintains, repairs,

and tests a variety of electrical/electronic systems and

equipment to ensure the safety and operation of district buildings and

facilities.

Applicants must have:

Completion of Grade

12 or equivalent

Electrical Trades Qualification (TQ)

Four years related

work experience post-TQ

Valid B.C. Drivers

License (Class 5)

Applicants are expected to

have:

Thorough knowledge of construction and construction safety

practices

Experience in reading

blueprints

Recent BC Electrical Code training/refresher

The physical condition and health to perform the duties and

responsibilities of the job (including climbing ladders/scaffolds, working in crawl/confined spaces, and lifting

and carrying heavy materials/

objects)

Good interpersonal skills including

verbal and written

communication skills

Applicants must be:

Knowledgeable of safety

procedures and materials, methods and equipment related to carpentry

A self-starter with an ability to organize daily tasks, work

independently and as a member of a teamThis position pays $41.27 per

hour , complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes
