Look no further we want YOU to be a part of our exceptional team! CFIS is now accepting applications for a Visual Arts Specialist position for the 2024-2025 school year.Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this role will include: Short-term and long-term curriculum planning,

Lesson delivery and differentiation,

Evaluation, assessment, and documentation of student progress,

Classroom organization/management,

Parent Communication,

Applying developmentally appropriate and current teaching methodologies in visual arts,

Implementation and integration of various art mediums, and

Working collaboratively with colleagues to create interdisciplinary and/or transdisciplinary units within the International Baccalaureate philosophy.

*N.B: Candidates selected for an interview are asked to bring a portfolio of art samples they have created with students of various grade levels.Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education,

Eligible for or in possession of an Alberta Teaching Certificate or Alberta Interim Teaching Certificate,

Fluently bilingual (French and English) is required for this position,

Previous experience teaching Visual Arts,

Valid first-aid certification (or willing to obtain), and

Training and experience with the International Baccalaureate Programme is an asset.The successful applicant will need to provide a recent Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to commencing work.Skills, Technical and Behavioural Competencies Required:

Strong planner and organizer with exemplary communication skills,

Strong written and oral communication skills in English and French,

Committed to providing quality educational experiences for students,

Understanding of the philosophy and principles of French immersion education is an asset, and

Interpersonal skills that foster collegiality and blend with CFISs values.Compensation:
