Glenmore Christian Academy (GCA) is a private Alberta accredited Christian school located in the Southwest of Calgary, Alberta, specializing in the education of children in grades K-9. GCA is a member of AISCA (Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta) as well as ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). GCAs mission is to Teach Truth, Inspire Excellence, Experience Christ and Server through Love. GCA has a head of school, two principals and a staff of over 100 serving approximately 1000 students.

GCA

has an opportunity for a maternity leave, 1.0 FTE Grade 2 Teacher . Under

the direction and mentorship of the Elementary Principal, this individual will

teach a Grade 2 class. This position is a term contract from May 15, 2024 to

June 25, 2024 with the potential of extending the contract for the 2024/2025

Bachelor of Education

AB Permanent or Interim Certificate

AB Letter of Authority

Skills Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, digital delivery and field trips

Design effective strategies to meet the childrens diverse learning needs

Effective communication skills

Ability to handle confidential information

Fluent in English

Excellent English written and oral communication skills
