extensive academic training, professional preparation and qualifications in all areas of this assignment

knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment

knowledge of and successful experience using a comprehensive literacy framework to support the direct instruction of literacy; preference will be given to individuals with successful experience with Guided Reading and Writing using small group instruction

knowledge of and successful experience using effective strategies to support the direct instruction of numeracy skills in a balanced numeracy framework; preference will be given to individuals with successful experience using a variety of effective strategies such as Number Talks and SNAP, using small group instruction

knowledge of and experience with integrating into the classroom First Peoples Principles of Learning along with local First Peoples traditions & culture
