extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching all areas of this assignment

knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment

training and successful experience in teaching intermediate students using Ministry of Education New Curriculum

demonstrated ability to plan for and teach all required subjects at this grade level

knowledge and demonstrated ability in teaching a well-balanced literacy program to primary students

knowledge and demonstrated ability in using sound teaching practices exemplified in SMART learning, Guided Reading, Writing Power, Write Traits, using the Connect, Process, Transform, Reflect process

knowledge and demonstrated ability in teaching a well-balanced numeracy program to primary students including the use of S.N.A.P.

demonstrated ability effectively address student lagging skills, and demonstrated effective classroom organizational skills to meet student social and emotional needs

knowledge of methods for selecting, modifying and adapting instructional materials to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of a diverse group of students

knowledge of and proven experience in using current assessment practices to allow students to show what they know and to guide instruction

demonstrated willingness to work as part of a team in the planning within the RTI model

demonstrated ability using technology to enhance student engagement for a wide range of abilities
