We invite applications for the position of: We invite applications for the position of Program Worker- Cafeteria working 31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The current rate of pay is $31.13 per hour plus 16.3% in lieu of benefits.Qualifications: Grade 12 education supplemented by Human Services Worker program certificate; recent experience related to working with students with a variety of diverse learning needs and two years current experience in food service; valid Food Safe certifications to Level 2 and Global Harmonized System (GHS) certification; knowledge or experience in the operation of cafeteria food processing and automatic and semi-automatic cleaning equipment; willingness to work in an inclusionary setting supporting differentiated instruction adapting and modifying curriculum; ability to work effectively with staff and students; meets the physical requirements of the position; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Duties/Responsibilities: Duties are performed under the supervision of the school Principal, Vice Principal and in accordance with established standards for a food service operation; follows the guidance and leadership of the learning support teacher or classroom teacher; assignment is site-based and provides support to individual students or small groups of students in a kitchen/cafeteria setting as determined by the school-based team; provides information to school-based team and itinerant staff as required; assists in the implementation of individual education plans; participates in student observation and data collection; facilitates inclusion of students with special needs into class and school activities; prepares and assembles food items using the appropriate food processing equipment and utensils; prepares perishable and dry items for storage; assists in purchasing food items and supplies as required; monitors inventories of cleaning agents and supplies; serves food and beverages when required; operates cafeteria cash register; assists with supervision of students in setting up, serving and cleaning duties related to the food service instructional program; operates commercial power dishwasher in cleaning program of the cafeteria operation, including charging with chemicals, cleaning dishes before loading, unloading, and final cleaning and take-down of the unit at the end of each shift; hand cleans utensils, pots, pans

and other items not appropriate to be placed in the dishwasher; cleans work surfaces in cafeteria instructional area, and staff and student dining areas; follows proper work procedures, observes all regulations pertinent to the work, maintains a good working

relationship with other employees, and cooperates in maintaining a healthy learning and working environment; performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor; student supervision as required by the Principal or Vice Principal.To Apply:
