JOB SUMMARY: An employee hired to perform custodial duties is responsible to the Director of Operations or designate.POSITION : On-Call Building Service Worker

HOURS OF WORK : Twelve months per year position.

WAGE RATE : As per C.U.P.E Local 4165 Agreement $24.81QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Grade 12 or equivalent or willing to obtain

Driver's License would be considered an asset

Experience/formal training cleaning in a related field would be considered an asset.

Computer skills would be an asset MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO: Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Work with disagreeable conditions from time to time.

Solve problems related to the position.

Be self-directed, work independently and/or work collegially in a team environment.

Perform the physical requirements of the job.

Maintain confidentiality.

Operate a variety of equipment and tools related to the position. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Ensure secure, safe and sanitary conditions of the facility and grounds, such as setting alarms, locking doors, snow removal, dusting, sweeping, washing and garbage pickup.

Perform cleaning, maintenance and restoration of floors. i.e., stripping and waxing.

Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies and order as needed.

Operate and care for equipment related to the position.

Make routine repairs regularly.

Develop work methods in agreement with the Director of Operations or designate for assigned tasks.

Report maintenance concerns to the principal/vice principal.

Check daily with the school principal/vice principal for specific school needs.

Complete daily checklist of duties.
