Mary Bergeron Elementary School is located in Edson, Alberta which resides in the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division, an elementary school providing excellent education to grades K-5.
Role
and Responsibilities
The
successful candidate will be a collaborative person with proficiency in the use
of educational technology and have an understanding of assessment for
learning. The responsibilities include: Providing
instruction to promote high quality student-centered learning.
Designing
and preparing lessons based on curriculum and following a variety of
methodology in teaching and instructing students, including lectures,
demonstrations and discussions.
Facilitating
inclusive educational practices to maximize educational opportunities for
all students.
Reviewing
and evaluating each student's performance, knowledge and skills and
meeting all reporting and assessment deadlines.
Adhering to
provincial legislation, board policy and division administrative
procedures.
Developing
constructive relationships with parents.
Collaborate with
other instructional staff members.
Modelling
commitment to professional development. Requirements
The
successful candidate will: Possess an
Alberta Teaching Certificate or be eligible for one.
Have
experience in following the Teaching Quality Standard (TQS)
and infusing literacy across the curriculum.
Hold a
Bachelors degree of Education.
Previous experience teaching Elementary Physical Education is considered an asset.The School
Mary Bergeron Elementary (MBE) is a modern K-5 school that serves 430 students. The school is located in Edson, Alberta along the beautiful Yellowhead Highway, and is one of two elementary schools, in Edson, that are part of the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division. Mary Bergeron Elementary offers a variety of programming and outstanding learning opportunities which include dedicated Music and Physical Education specialists on staff.
Mary Bergeron Elementary is blessed with the most amazing, talented, and dedicated staff, students, and parents that work together to make our school a world-class elementary school. We are constantly developing strong relationships between students, staff, and parents that are based on mutual trust and respect. The Division
Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) stretches from Jasper National Park, east to Evansburg, south of Cadomin, and northwest to Grande Cache.
