The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a permanent part-time Library Technician (LT). Library Technicians support and assist in the development, organization and maintenance of the school library. Library Technicians are valuable members of a team which collaborate to promote student learning, well-being and success.

Assignment and Term: This position is a permanent part-time position of 6.5 hours per day in accordance with the Library Technician school calendar.

The position commences August 26, 2024. The work schedule will be scheduled by the Principal. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.The duties of a Library Technician are to: Provide library services to students and staff.

Operate and maintain the computer-base library system to circulate library materials, generate reports and complete inventory checks.

oversee and maintain school chromebooks.

Catalogue all library resources

Organize, maintain and update all materials in the library collection.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description Library TechnicianThe successful candidate will have the desired qualifications: Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.

Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets.

Experience with Technology (computers, chromebooks)Salary and Benefits: The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $19.89 - $24.51 plus applicable vacation pay.
