The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:? Bachelor of Education.

? Experience teaching in an elementary school setting.

? Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy and Differentiated

Instruction practices.

? Effective organizational and classroom management skills is imperative.

? Ability to integrate and use technology in the classroom.

? Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans as well as implement the plan for

students.

? A strong ability to build relationships with elementary school students and parents.

? A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.

? A commitment to continuous professional growth.

? Knowledge of Leader In Me and Apple School programs.

? The ability to work as a member of a team in a collaborative work environment and in

professional learning communities.

? A willingness to participate in school community and extracurricular activities.

? A commitment to continuous professional growth.

? Knowledge of anti-bullying strategies is an asset.

? Ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
