EIPS is recruiting a full-time Grade 1-9 Teacher at Castle School (Scotford Colony).

Castle School serves approximately 25 students in grades 1 to 9, with one teacher and one full-time support staff. Castle School is a two-room school located at Scotford Hutterite Colony, approximately 12 kilometres east of Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Commencing August 27, 2024

Open to internal and external applicants, priority will be given to EIPS teachers who hold a continuous contract and meet the minimum requirements of the position

Qualifications: Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
