EIPS is recruiting two part-time (0.5 FTE) Mathematics Teacher at SouthPointe School. SouthPointe School serves approximately 680 students in kindergarten to Grade 9, with 33 teaching staff and 18 support staff. The school is located in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, approximately 20 kilometres north of Sherwood Park, AB. SouthPointe School, in collaboration with the community, provides a safe, supportive learning environment in which every student will develop the skills and knowledge to become lifelong learners and contributing members of society. Commencing August 27, 2024

Teaching Assignments will be: Mathematics 8, and Grade 7 and 8 Electives, Creative Design 8, Foods 7, World of Foods 8

Mathematics 9, Grade 9 Electives, Creative Design and Computer Science

Open to internal and external applicants, priority will be given to EIPS teachers who hold a continuous contract

Qualifications : Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training

First Aid training would be an asset
