Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6,100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.Peace Wapiti Alternative Education is seeking candidates with high professional standards, and who are willing to personalize learning to meet the needs of our students. We offer a safe and welcoming alternative for PWPSD students in grades 7-12 who might face challenges or obstacles in pursuing their studies in a traditional classroom environment.

We invite applications for a Probationary Full-Time Teacher . This position serves students attending our outreach school, Peace Wapiti Enterprise Centre (PWEC), and on-site in a group home setting.

The assignment for this full-time position is:

- 0.45 FTE (Grades 7-12) PWEC (Grande Prairie, AB) and

- 0.55 FTE Group Home (Sexsmith, AB).The successful candidate will be committed to exploring innovative ways to develop and deliver course content while engaging and motivating students online. Excellent technology skills and a willingness to be accessible through multiple modes of communication are required. In addition, the successful candidate will be familiar with Individual Program Planning for students experiencing various academic and social challenges. Qualifications: Bachelor of Education degree
