Continuing Education - Youth Urban Farming Program Teacher (Summer 2024)

LOCATION : Westwood Public School @ 495 Willow Road, Westwood Road Community Garden, and Castlebury Park, Guelph

RATE: $55.14 per hour

HOURS : July 3rd 26th, 2024, 8:30 am 2:45 p.m. @ above sites

FEDERATION AFFILIATION: While performing this position, you are a member of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation representing the District 18 Teachers Bargaining Unit. Union dues will apply.

JOB SUMMARY:

The successful applicant will work with the Summer School Supervisor and community partners to deliver a full credit to students enrolled in the Youth Urban Farming Program.

REQUIREMENTS: Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certificate in Good Standing

Preference for applicants with Senior Business or Senior Green Industries teaching qualifications

Basic knowledge of agriculture

Ability to manage students in an alternative learning setting

Ability to work in a farm environment

Willingness to work with community partners to deliver the Youth Urban Farming ProgramHOW TO APPLY:
