CIC offers the Total Care Education System to support students to achieve their goal of getting into a post-secondary institution of their choice. Our Total Care Education provides services that can support international students to meet their Academic, Social, Emotional and Physical needs.

This position is responsible for overseeing all tutoring (academic buildings/residences). Tutoring is delivered through teachers, staff tutors, student mentors, online tutors and private tutors. The Tutoring Supervisor will ensure that all students have timely access to appropriate resources in order to improve their academic performance. The Tutoring Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising the tutoring programs.

The responsibilities in this position shall include but are not limited to the following, which may be amended from time to time:Job Responsibilities: Recruitment:

?Assist with hiring, training and supervising tutors and student mentors

?Model tutor expectations to set the standard of performance

?Regularly observe and supervise tutors on-site (academic buildings/residences) to ensure their performance meets expectations

?Obtain tutor feedback in regards to students performance and willingness to participate

?Provide support to tutors by responding to requests for information, direction and resourcesStudents:

?Counsel students on the different tutoring services available and assign them to an appropriate tutor

?Monitor students academic progress and report to the various internal stakeholders

?Use student achievement data to identify areas of need and develop plans for tutor support

?Develop and monitor student evaluations of the tutoring they have received and use feedback to improve the program

?When appropriate, provide tutoring to students Liaison:

?Continue to support the Principal in developing alternate online platforms and media forms of tutoring

?Work closely with guidance counsellors during evaluation cycles (progress reports, midterm reports, final reports) in order to assign appropriate academic support

?Liaise with teachers to ensure tutors are updated regularly on appropriate subject matter that needs to be covered

?Work closely with the liaison department to obtain permission for private tutoring and communication with parents

?Liaise with the Google Coach to develop best practices for online tutoring using Google Apps.

?COCC (Circle of care committee) follow up and minutes

?Run a club/activity afterschool

?Other duties assigned by the Academic Office

?Keeping updated records and providing monthly analytics to different departments. Field Trips:

?Work closely with teachers, procurement, Chartwells, and accounting team to coordinate field trips requested by teachers.

?Duties will include the following: booking venues, arranging payments, ordering transportation and meals, creating field trip responsibility forms and accounting forms. Qualifications: ?Undergraduate degree

?Proven coordination, organizational and administrative skills

?Demonstration of strong interpersonal and team work skills

?Experience in a high school with students from diverse cultural backgrounds

?Ability to multi-task in a high pressure role with little supervision

?Strong team player who takes a collaborative approach to conflict

?Supervisory experience is an asset

?Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

?Strong knowledge and skills in Google Education Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Power Point), Social MediaHours of Operation and Work Schedule:
