About Hillfield Strathallan College

Hillfield Strathallan College is currently recruiting for a JK teacher in our Junior School (PK2-Gr. 4) for an LTO beginning at the end of August 2024 until mid-January. Please note that this contract is covering a leave. The College will give at least two weeks notice if, for unforeseen circumstances, the College cannot honour this contract.Position Overview:

Reporting to the Principal of the Junior School, the experienced educator will support our Junior School program. They will employ classroom management practices, including establishing and enforcing student expectations to create a supportive, safe, caring and effective learning environment and participate in the co-curricular program as directed by the Principal.Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree in a related discipline.

An Ontario Teachers Certificate or equivalent and Honours Specialist qualifications.

A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience teaching at the Early Childhood level;

The ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

comfortable with Learning Management Systems and related software
