Physical Education Teacher

St. Andrews School requires a 1.0 F.T.E. Physical Education starting August 28, 2024.

This is a full-year probationary position with the possibility of extension. The position requires the successful candidate to teach primarily secondary students in Grades 7-9 Junior High Physical Education, Health, junior high options, and potentially other courses within the candidate's skill set.

The successful candidate ideally will have a background and understanding in physical education, health and wellness, athletics, support working with First Nation, Metis & Inuit students, and social and emotional development of children. The successful candidate requires proficiency in the use of educational technology, an understanding of assessment for learning, and is eligible to teach in the Province of Alberta. The candidate must be willing to work in a rural Catholic community environment and be a team player willing to collaborate, communicate, and work together.
