Foothills School Division is currently seeking new graduate teachers to add to our Guest (Substitute) Teacher roster. The focus of this recruitment is to provide an employment opportunity for new graduates completing school this year.Guest Teaching is the perfect start to your teaching career allowing you to gain hands-on experience in a variety of grades and subjects. We are looking for Guest Teachers who are available to work throughout our School Division and are adaptable and flexible to a variety of grades and subjects. You must be willing to teach all grades and subjects. French as a Second Language would be considered an asset.We require that Guest Teachers are available to work for at least 50% of the school year and accept at least 50% of the dispatches offered to them. Our Guest Teachers engage students in learning, and apply a variety of management strategies that are appropriate for the situation and minimize disruptions to student learning.Your teaching practice includes the ability to integrate instructional to address the unique needs of each student.Aptitude in the use of technology and Smart Board is considered an asset.If you are a dynamic, research-based educator (experienced or new graduate), we welcome your application.
