Responsibilities: Collaborate with school districts, post-secondary institution and community partners to build shared capacity towards offering more dual credit opportunities.
Align and standardize dual credit agreements between the post-secondary institution and school districts within the Kootenay Boundary region to establish a cohesive framework for contractual relationships and partnerships.
Coordinate with various stakeholders to promote dual credit offerings to students, educator, parents and community stakeholders through diverse marketing strategies and platforms.
Collaborate with post-secondary institution to identify new course offerings that align with the needs of dual credit students.
Identify opportunities to scale up dual credit availability in rural and remote school communities and support post-secondary institutions in the process.
Ensure that new or expanded dual credit offerings are accessible and inclusive for Indigenous students and students with disabilities or diverse abilities.
Engage with school counsellors and school-based team members to build capacity and understanding of dual credit programming to identify and plan for moving students into the dual credit stream.
Facilitate youth and parent engagement events in communities to promote dual credit programs.
Maintain project budget in alignment with project objectives.
Completion of required reporting on collective program expansion spending, activities and deliverables, including forecasting future program growth.Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in Education, Counseling, or related field. Masters degree is preferred.
Teaching experience in K 12 education, dual credit programs and/or post-secondary programs.
Knowledge of Ministry of Education and Child Care dual credit policies, procedures and best practices.
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience working with Indigenous communities, and integrating local First Nations perspectives in programming is an asset.
