Secondary Designated Daily Occasional Teachers

Beaver Brae Secondary School The KPDSB is seeking applicants to work full time, Monday to Friday, as Designated Daily Occasional Teachers (DDO's) at Beaver Brae Secondary School . The successful applicants will be assigned for the duration of this school year. They will report to the school administration that they have been hired to, at the designated time on instructional and professional activity days pursuant to the approved school year calendar.

Travel may be required to another school within their chosen attendance area, dependent upon need. Applicants must be living in or able to travel to their chosen attendance area daily for assignments.

The DDO will receive an LTO rate of pay, during their assignment in accordance with their qualifications and the provisions of the collective agreement. The DDO will not be eligible for placement in any other position, with exception of applying for a perm position, within the Board for at least the remainder of the school year.

These assignments will be in place for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year.

Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) in good standing is required. Interested candidates should include the names of three professional references in their application package. One must be a recent/immediate supervisor with authorization to be contacted under the terms of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Acts. A copy of the Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualifications must be attached. Recent graduates should include university transcripts and/or practicum teaching reports.
