THE POSITION.
We are seeking qualified applicants interested in joining our school team to provide support for students.
Qualifications: Education Assistant certificate
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or Anxiety
Criminal Record Check
Friendly, flexible, positive, and self-motivated, team player
Models growth mindset and positive behaviour support techniques
Fluent in oral and written English
First Aid CertificateResponsibilities may include: Provide support to students within the regular classroom
Assist with the implementation of IEP and Support Plans
Work as part of a team of Education Assistants under the direction of the Principal
Assist students during emotional outbursts using non-violent crisis intervention strategies
Help supervise during transitions and recess
