With an annual budget of over $200M and over 2,000 staff, the school district provides K-12 educational services in 22 elementary schools, six secondary schools, and two alternate schools. It also provides a variety of certificate programs and relevant quality life-long learning opportunities through Ridge Meadows College and Continuing Education.SD42 is looking for a qualified French Immersion Teacher for a 1.0 FTE Temporary position at Maple Ridge Secondary School effective as soon as possible to June 30, 2024, or return of incumbent, may include a graduated return. This assignment includes French and French Immersion 8.

The applicant will possess: Certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch, Experience and/or training with teaching French and French Immersion,

Secondary Education degree which includes methodology coursework in French second language acquisition,

Must be proficient in French communication.This is a 1.0 FTE Temporary assignment effective as soon as possible to June 30, 2024, or until the return of the incumbent, may include a graduated return.
