Vice-Principal

Hub Virtual School and Division Outreach Programs

Position to begin for the 2024-2025 School Year

An opportunity exists for a dynamic, caring, and dedicated leader in the role of Vice-Principal at The HUB Virtual School and Pathways Outreach Program. Our online school offers real-time instruction for students throughout the province of Alberta and provides the same level of support as a traditional school. With an enrollment of about 200 full time students from grade 1 to grade 12, we are driven to meet the needs of all students and families through unique and engaging programming. Pathways Outreach Program provides an in-person service to students who struggle to find success in a typical school setting and who have the goal of re-entering mainstream programming.

As the Vice-Principal of Hub Virtual School and Pathways Outreach Program, candidates should be able to work across grade levels and engage with an in-person and online learning environment. This position will require some teaching time, and as such the successful candidate must be flexible in their approach to instruction and managing their time between administrative and teaching duties. The ability to teach at multiple grade levels and subjects would be a benefit. A current understanding of graduation requirements to support various pathways to high school completion would be an asset but not a requirement. This position would require the successful candidate to work in-person daily from our office to centrally support our school community.

This position will start for the 2024-2025 school year. Employees who wish to be considered for this position should review Policy 508: Administrative Appointments and Administrative Procedures 508 P 001 and 508 P 002. A Masters Degree or current enrollment in a Masters Program is desirable. Successful applicant will need to pursue this qualification if havent yet started.

Applications deadline is April 8, 2024 @ 12:00 noon.
