Management and Non-Union Position

Pay Band 7 ($3 412 to $4 128 bi-weekly)

Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, the successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and supporting the implementation of the literacy curriculum for grades K-12 across Anglophone North School District.

Areas of Responsibility: Develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives and resources to enhance curriculum delivery and learning.

Coordinate, plan and monitor the implementation of provincial and district initiatives.

Identify professional learning needs.

Plan, coordinate, and support professional learning.

Collect and analyze data to support strategic planning.

Respond to inquiries and concerns from schools, parents/community.

Collaborate with the ASD-N curriculum team to provide instructional leadership across the district.Qualifications: Master of Education or be working towards a Masters.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching in the public school system and in progressive leadership roles.

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.Desirable Qualities: Knowledge of and teaching experience using best practices in literacy.

Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, with a focus on literacy.

Wide variety of recent Professional Learning experiences, as a participant and facilitator.

Skilled in the use of data to support strategic planning.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with professional staff.

Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops.

Ability to work as a team member.
