Casual Support Staff/Clerical Support Staff The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is a dynamic board committed to the delivery of quality educational programs and services. The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board welcomes all applications for the Casual Secretarial/Clerical Support Staff position. The Casual Secretarial/Clerical Support Staff will provide clerical and secretarial support necessary for the efficient operation of school offices and Board Offices, in the absence of a permanent secretary. The assignments may be located at any of the schools in our district. As a Casual Secretarial/Clerical Support Staff, you will have the opportunity to select school locations you would like to support. Casual Secretarial/Clerical Support Staff will be placed according to operational needs, day-to-day or on a short-term assignment.

If youmeet the requirements for the position, selected candidates will be sent skill tests to be completed (excel, word, data entry and typing), if the candidate is successful in all the test requirements, the candidate will be contacted for an interview.

Well-versed in Microsoft Office (all applications)

Expertise in the use of computer technology (e.g. email, spreadsheets and internet applications)

Minimum typing 30 words per minute

Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service skills

Strong organizational and communication skills

Commitment to providing a friendly, supportive and welcoming environment

Ability to multi-task

Written and oral communication skills

Willingness to acquire skills in Board specific programs (Student Information Systems, IREN, other board applications)

1-4 years of recent working experience in an office environment

Availability to accept assignments on a casual basis during the day and with short noticeExperience in the following areas would be an asset: Bookkeeping and budget skills

Familiarity with School Board regulations/policies and procedures

Reception/Switchboard

Ability to adapt to changing and different environments

A valid drivers license is an asset
