Reports to: Assistant Director, Human Resources

Location: Anglophone East School District- District OfficeDescription:

Our team is growing, and we are looking to welcome new Human Resources professionals to the team.

The successful candidate will be responsible to assist our Human Resources Department to develop, implement, communicate and manage HR tasks and programs for all staff in the district. You will perform a wide variety of duties using independent judgment, initiative, and discretion at all times. Under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources, the HR Officer is responsible for: Interpreting / administering collective agreements for all employee groups.

Interpreting / administering policies, guidelines, laws, regulations, and district goals and objectives as they apply to human resources.

Coordinating the efficient administration of the staffing and recruitment processes

Assisting with and/or investigating various types of complaints

Collecting and interpreting data for position evaluation and classification purposes

Replying to requests for retirement planning information, benefits and pension participation

Assisting in the orientation of new employees; responding to inquiries pertaining to employee records

Along with other duties as assigned.Qualifications : A university degree in business administration, public administration or related field, with a major in human resources, and preferably three years experience in human resources.

The incumbent must have excellent interpretation, analytical, and inter-personal / communication skills, and be able to work independently, accurately, and in a confidential manner.
