Manager of Child Care

We are pleased to be offering a new and exciting employment opportunity for the position of Child Care Manager . You will be a guiding force behind our school aged child care programs, ensuring they not only meet but exceed expectations in three key areas: Quality Assurance, Partnerships and Engagement, and Operations. You will lead with a vision for excellence, overseeing every aspect of child care provision from program implementation to staff supervision. Your role will be pivotal in nurturing the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of the children in our care, aligning with our district's philosophy, Licensing Regulations, and the Early Learning Framework. This exempt position has a salary range of $72,563 - $90,703 and includes an excellent benefit and pension package.

Your Education and Experience Degree/Diploma in Early Childhood Education would be an asset.

Current registration with the BC Early Childhood Educators if ECE qualified.

Minimum five years of experience in childcare or a related field, including knowledge of techniques for typically developing children as well as children with special needs.

Experience in a K-12 Educational setting would be an asset.

Demonstrated understanding of the BC Early Years Framework and child care licensing regulations.

Experience managing child care centers would be an asset.

Experience in leading and supervising staff.

Demonstrated superior organizational, management, leadership, communication and human relations skills.

Working knowledge of office procedures and standard office equipment including personal computers and office software. Experience with Esikidz software an asset.

Ability to understand basic accounting and financial functions in order to manage budgets.

Valid BC Drivers License. Local area travel will require the use of a personal vehicle.

Valid First Aid certificate as required by Child care Licensing.Additional Qualifications Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building cohesive teams by creating respectful, nurturing, and empowering relationships.

Strong analytical skills related to budgeting, fiscal management, and monitoring programs.

Ability to manage confidential information and situations in a professional manner.

Ability to respond to emergencies and maintain control in high stress situations.

Ability to think strategically, set priorities, and plans to achieve goals.
