Corporate Records Systems Analyst

Full-time, One-Year Term Assignment

Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week

Union Exempt Level 4: $61,500 - $72,400 per annumUnder the direction of the Team Manager, Corporate Records, the Corporate Records Systems Analyst is responsible for the Districts electronic content management system (ECM) and forms module; liaises with internal clients to define projects that automate business processes, create and/or route electronic records; provide assistance to staff in the analysis and documentation of automation requirements; directs forms to the ECM repository, develops business processes and workflows associated with records, provides access rights, and applies security to the electronic systems.

The Analyst has the highest level of access to all District-wide information and is responsible for ensuring the security of and access control to the information. This position is the primary contact person to ensure timely access to one of the Districts most critical assets, its corporate records. Qualifications University degree or Community College diploma in Computer Systems Technology or related field of study, and 3-5 years related experience, including 1-2 years experience working in an enterprise content management environment.

Required technical expertise in order to map business processes, design complex workflows and manage a system-wide enterprise content management and business process automation platform, provide technical assistance, and training to users; and analyze, identify, troubleshoot, and find resolutions to technical problems.

Application of CSS and Javascript for coding and scripting.

Industry recognized certifications such as records and information management certification or Laserfiche Certified Professional are considered assets.

Knowledge of records and information management theories, principles and practices with classification schemes and retention/disposition schedules.

Knowledge of relevant Board policies and procedures, Board organizational structure, administrative and school business cycles and their significance..

Knowledge of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act..

The ideal candidate must have good judgment, excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills when providing training to others; organization and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and work demands; and initiative to do research.

Ability to work under pressure and meet unanticipated deadlines.

Respects and adheres to the confidentiality of all District-wide information and records.
