We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed professional to join our team as:Lunchtime Monitor, Casual

$16.84 per hour Hours of Work: 10:30 am to 11:30 pm and 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm Monday to Friday

Duties:

Lunchtime Monitors will provide general supervision and monitoring of students during nutrition breaks. Monitors will assist students to open lunch containers and wipe hands and tables after eating. Lunchtime Monitors may also be assigned other related duties, including, but not limited to: Assistance with arrival and/or dismissal of students;

Supervision during recesses; and,

Supervision in kindergarten classrooms.*Please note enhanced enhanced health and safety measures have been implemented.*

Qualifications

Lunchtime monitors require the ability to act quickly to emergencies and must possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Lunchtime monitors must be able to use tact, diplomacy and discretion in interactions within the school community.

First Aid and Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training would be assets.

Additional Comments:

As a condition of employment, all new employees will be required to submit a Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector that was completed within the last six (6) months. All newly hired employees will be required to complete Ministry mandated training and Health and Safety training prior to their start date with the OCDSB.
