We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team:

Training and Development Coordinator,

Up to Three (3) Year Term Assignment

Monday - Friday, 35 Hours Per Week

Union Exempt, $67,900 - $79,900 Under the direction of the Program Manager, Leadership and Staff Development, the Coordinator will assist with coordinating ongoing training and development initiatives including the New Teacher Induction Program (NTIP), new employee orientation, and virtual and in person workshops and training programs. The Coordinator is responsible for managing performance management processes and softwares, various reimbursement programs and talent identification initiatives. The Coordinator will also assist in the management of the Districts Learning Management System and the organization of the Districts employee recognition program and retirement celebration.

The Coordinator may also support the implementation and management of leadership development initiatives for the District, including supporting the development and coordination of a comprehensive leadership and succession planning strategy. The Coordinator may also support the Program Manager with the planning and advancement of the Districts Principal Vice-Principal Selection Process, corporate internship, student placement, and mentoring programs. Qualifications

A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, or a related field, along with 3 to 4 years of relevant human resources and organizational development experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Experience in a unionized environment with the ability to interpret and advise on legislation and collective agreements;

Demonstrated knowledge of human resources practices related to the principles of leadership, staff development, training and adult education;

Knowledge of the Ontario Leadership Framework for the Ontario K-12 education sector is an asset;

Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), presentation and facilitation skills with a customer service orientation;

Strong organizational, planning, research and analytical skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision;

High degree of initiative and ability to make independent decisions;

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, and work well with committees and external vendors;

Must demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion; and

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite of programs, as well as learning management systems and performance management softwares. Application Process
