Summary of Position

Are you ready to ignite young minds and foster a love for learning in the great outdoors? We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Summer Literacy Coordinator. As a vital member of our team, you will spearhead a diverse array of outdoor literacy activities, transcending traditional boundaries to inspire curiosity and creativity. Imagine spending your summer surrounded by enthusiastic children and families, all eager to explore the wonders of language and literacy in natures classroom. As the Summer Literacy Coordinator you will have the opportunity to unleash your initiative and creativity, crafting engaging experiences that captivate hearts and minds. If you have a passion for literacy, strong organization and communication skills, are able to work independently and demonstrate initiative, apply now to become our Summer Literacy Coordinator.

This is a temporary position, commencing July 3rd and running until August 16th. The successful candidate will work 4 days per week (26 hours per week).

Duties and Responsibilities: Craft Engaging Activities: Design and implement a captivating lineup of literacy activities tailored to various age groups, infusing excitement into every session.

Forge Collaborative Partnerships : Collaborate with a range of different agencies to curate a comprehensive program that resonates with children and families fostering a sense of community and shared learning.

Empower Through Resources : Deliver enriching resources and programing tohelp participants ignite a lifelong passion for literacy.

Maintain Precision : Keep meticulous records (budget and data) to ensure seamless program delivery, demonstrating your dedication to excellence and accountability.
