Summary of Position

This posting is for a Permanent Part-Time Kitchen Aide Position (.50 FTE) at North Battleford Comprehensive High School, commencing August 26th, 2024. Hours of work are 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The Kitchen Aide, reporting to the cafeteria manager, is responsible for assisting their team with menu development, preparation and serving of food, clean up and sanitization of work area, and other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possesses or willing to obtain Safe Food Handling Certificate

Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of cooking tools and equipment

Commitment to Safe Food Handling practices and procedures and safe cleaning practices

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to build rapport with and work cooperatively with school staff and students

Above average organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines

Must be willing to participate in training, in-service and appropriate courses of study
