Summary of Position

This posting is for a Permanent Part -Time (.875 FTE) Caretaker at Battleford Central School, to commence July 8th, 2024. Position hours are seven (7) hours during the day, Monday to Friday. As a Caretaker, you will focus on keeping the school clean and maintained to provide an optimal learning setting for our students. The successful candidate must possess well developed interpersonal skills, be energetic, have the ability to take initiative and work independently with a positive and supportive attitude in a team environment.

This position includes janitorial work, groundskeeping, seasonal tasks, and some maintenance. Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with a Grade 12 education and previous training/experience in caretaking

A Firemans Certificate or WHMIS training would be considered an asset

The Right Person will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently;

be able to handle various physical tasks involving lifting, bending, twisting, turning and climbing;

have the ability to prioritize multiple demands and effectively manage time;

be willing to work in varied climates and conditions;

have excellent communications skills;

be enthusiastic and thrive in a team environment; and

genuinely appreciate working with children.
